Silicone baking mats are produced from food-grade, platinum-cured liquid silicone rubber. The finished mat must withstand repeated use at temperatures between -40°C and +230°C, remain dimensionally stable after multiple dishwasher cycles, and exhibit no surface transfer of cyclic siloxanes or other volatile compounds when in contact with fatty food simulants.

Silicone rubber is a high-performance synthetic elastomer composed of silicone and other molecules (e.g., carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen). It is characterized by high viscosity and elasticity, as well as superior abrasion resistance, chemical stability, insulating properties, temperature resistance, and weatherability compared to organic rubber.
