What is Naringinogen?

Naringenin, also known as naringinogen, CAS number 480-41-1, is a natural dihydroflavonoid compound. It appears as a yellow powder with a melting point of 250-251°C. It is readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol . It is primarily extracted from plants of the Anacardiaceae family and citrus peels. It combines with neohesperidose at the C7 position to form the bitter glycoside compound naringin, and with rutin to form hesperidin.
