What is Centella Asiatica Extract Powder Asiaticoside?

Asiaticoside, also known as asiaticoside and asiaticoside, is a pentacyclic triterpenoid saponin extracted from the whole plant of Centella asiatica of the Umbelliferae family, with CAS registration number 16830-15-2. The pure product is white needle-shaped crystals, odorless, bitter, and slightly hygroscopic. Centella asiatica regulates the TGF-β/Smad and BMP7/p-Smad1/5 pathways by activating the A2AR-assisted cAMP/Rap1 signaling pathway, and has the effects of promoting collagen synthesis, anti-fibrosis, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It is clinically used to treat burns, scleroderma, keloids and diabetic wounds, and can inhibit pulmonary vascular remodeling and improve right ventricular hypertrophy in rats with pulmonary hypertension. In vitro studies have shown a dose-dependent inhibition of fibroblast proliferation and collagen expression.
