Large-Scale Belt Filter Press for Sewage Sludge Dewatering - 1000mm to 2000mm Belt Width, 75-85% Moisture Content
A Belt Filter Press is a high-efficiency sludge dewatering system that applies mechanical pressure to chemically conditioned slurry between two tensioned belts through a series of decreasing diameter rolls. The process occurs in three distinct zones:
- Gravity Zone: Free draining water is removed through porous belts
- Wedge Zone: Solids preparation for pressure application
- Pressure Zone: Medium to high pressure dewatering of conditioned solids
The system conditions feed sludge with polyelectrolyte and drains flocculated sludge over an endless horizontal porous filter belt. Thickened sludge is then sandwiched by a second filter belt before progressive dewatering through decreasing diameter rollers. Final moisture removal is achieved using shear rollers with 180-degree belt wrap for optimal dewatering efficiency.
