Belt Filter Press Overview
A Belt Filter Press is an advanced sludge dewatering system that applies mechanical pressure to chemically conditioned slurry between two tensioned belts. The equipment processes material through three distinct zones for optimal moisture removal.
Working Principle
The system conditions feed sludge with polyelectrolyte and drains flocculated sludge over an endless horizontal porous filter belt. Thickened sludge is then sandwiched by a second filter belt before progressive dewatering through decreasing diameter rollers. Final moisture removal is achieved by shear rollers with minimum 180-degree belt wrap for optimal dewatering efficiency.
