Belt Filter Press Overview
A Belt Filter Press is an advanced sludge dewatering system that applies mechanical pressure to chemically conditioned slurry through a series of tensioned belts and decreasing diameter rollers. The equipment operates through three distinct zones for optimal dewatering efficiency.
Working Principle
The system conditions feed sludge with polyelectrolyte and drains flocculated sludge over an endless horizontal porous filter belt. Thickened sludge is then sandwiched between two filter belts and progressively dewatered through a series of decreasing diameter rollers, with final moisture removal achieved by shear rollers providing 180-degree belt wrap for optimal dewatering performance.
