Product Technical Principle & Core Traits
This product belongs to the category of traditional oil-immersed distribution transformers, with mineral oil serving as the core insulating and cooling medium. In terms of insulation, mineral oil fills the gaps between the transformer’s iron core, windings, and tank, isolating live components from the grounded tank to prevent electrical breakdown. For cooling, it absorbs heat generated by the iron core (due to hysteresis and eddy current losses) and windings (due to copper loss) during operation, then transfers the heat to the tank wall—where it is dissipated into the air through natural convection. This dual-functional design gives the transformer high heat dissipation efficiency, ensuring stable operation even under continuous load. Additionally, the mature production process of mineral oil-based transformers, coupled with the low cost of raw materials (compared to dry-type or eco-oil transformers), results in distinct cost advantages, making it a preferred choice for budget-constrained projects.
