SPAJ140C ABB Combined Overcurrent Earth Fault Relay Phase Ground Protection
The ABB SPAJ140C is a sophisticated combined overcurrent and earth fault protection relay designed for selective short-circuit and time overcurrent protection of radial feeders in distribution networks. This integrated protection device provides comprehensive phase and ground fault protection for directly grounded, resistance grounded, or impedance grounded power systems.
Featuring low and high setting phase overcurrent units with both definite time and inverse definite minimum time (IDMT) characteristics, the SPAJ140C ensures precise fault detection and protection. The relay also includes low and high setting earth fault units with timed or instantaneous operation capabilities, providing complete ground fault protection.
The SPAJ140C incorporates a built-in circuit breaker failure protection unit and features two heavy-duty output relays plus four signal output relays for flexible protection scheme implementation. With an output relay matrix, protection level start or trip signals can be routed to desired output relays for customized protection logic.
