Airtight 6063-T5 Aluminium Glass Sliding Window Thermal Insulated Lateral Pressing
Thermal Insulated Lateral Pressing Airtight Aluminium Exterior Sliding Window
Product Description:
Lateral pressing airtight aluminium sliding window is a specific type of sliding window designed to achieve a high level of air and weather sealing. Unlike a traditional sliding window, which relies on brushes or simple gaskets, this system uses a mechanism to press the moving sash laterally (sideways) against the fixed frame. This creates a much tighter seal when the window is closed and locked.
The key to a lateral pressing window's airtightness is its unique hardware and sealing system. While traditional sliding windows are always in a sliding track, this type of window often has a multi-point locking mechanism that performs two actions in sequence:
- Lateral Movement: When you turn the handle or operate the locking lever, the hardware engages, pushing the sliding sash away from the sliding track and into a compressed position against the window frame.
- Compression of Gaskets: This lateral movement compresses a special type of gasket (such as a bubble or flipper gasket) between the sash and the frame. This compression is what creates the airtight and watertight seal.
