Introduction to Sheet Metal Gripper

Sheet metal grippers serve as a universal solution for press shop gripping and an ideal option for robotic part handling. Their lightweight design enhances press tending productivity and achieves high transfer speeds in stamping press applications. Enclosed models are available for harsh welding environments, and the internal mechanism prevents gripper opening during air loss. All grippers are lightweight and compact, with modular openings, multiple grip styles, multi-contact points, easy in-field jaw reconfiguration, adjustable opening angles, multipoint sensing and minimal maintenance. The hot metal options of the pneumatic gripper system provide a rugged and versatile solution for high-temperature applications, supporting hot metal handling up to 1650 °F (900 °C). It is applicable for hot sheet metal, plastic processing and thermoforming, and can be equipped with regular or flanged claws for different material thicknesses to meet various application requirements.
