Stainless Steel 321H Hex metal Bolts 1/2”-20 and Color Coated Finish for High Temperature Uses

Differences Between Hexagon Head Bolts and Hexagon Socket Head Cap Screws
Appearance
Hexagon head bolts/screws are likely more familiar to most, featuring a hexagonal head without a recessed centre;
Hexagon socket head cap screws feature a rounded outer edge with a recessed hexagonal centre. Common variants include cylindrical head hexagon socket screws, as well as pan head, countersunk head, and flat head hexagon socket screws. Screws without heads, such as set screws and machine screws, are referred to as headless hexagon socket screws.
- Construction Industry: Used in structural steel connections for bridges, building frameworks, and scaffolding. Provides stability and durability under heavy loads.
- Machinery Manufacturing: Essential for fastening mechanical parts in lathes, heavy-duty equipment, and assembly lines. Withstands vibration and heavy loads.
- Automotive and Transportation: Secures critical parts like chassis, engines, and transmission systems. Maintains vehicle integrity under high-speed conditions.
- Home Appliances and Electronics: Assembles and secures parts in air conditioners, washing machines, and televisions. Ensures product stability.
- Energy and Petrochemical Industry: Crucial in wind turbines, nuclear power plants, and petrochemical plants. Resists corrosion in harsh environments.
- Marine and Offshore Engineering: Secures deck fittings, hulls, and equipment. Stainless steel variants resist seawater corrosion.
- Furniture Manufacturing: Provides stability and durability to beds, tables, chairs, and cabinets through easy installation.
321H: American Standard austenitic heat-resistant steel with excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion at 800-1500°F (427-816°C). Offers superior creep and stress rupture properties compared to 304/304L stainless steel.
304: Common stainless steel material with density of 7.93 g/cm³. Contains minimum 8% Ni and 18% Cr content.
- 321H: Superior high temperature stress rupture performance and creep resistance compared to 304 stainless steel.
- 304: Contains Ni content >8% and Cr content >18%, making it suitable for general corrosion resistance applications.
