SUS304 refers to 304 stainless steel. SUS is a Japanese material standard. 304 stainless steel is a grade of stainless steel produced in accordance with the American ASTM standard. SUS304 indicates that it is produced in accordance with the Japanese standard.
304 is equivalent to China's (0Cr18Ni9) stainless steel. Due to its high nickel content and austenitic single-phase structure at room temperature, it has higher corrosion resistance compared to Cr13 stainless steel. It also features high plasticity and toughness at low, room and high temperatures, as well as good cold working and weldability.
