Quick release pins, also known as ball lock pins, locking pins or safety pins, have a wide range of applications in securing, locking, connecting, and adjusting components while facilitating quick position changes.

Operation Mechanism
The spring-loaded ball extends from the pin into the hole or detent when inserted, effectively locking the pin in place. To release, simply press the button on the handle to relieve spring pressure for removal.
Types of Quick Release Pins
Push-Pull Pins
These pins feature a solid or hollow shank with a braking assembly (locking lugs, buttons, or balls) supported by a resilient core. Designed for shear load applications, they are not suitable for tensile loads.
Positive Locking Pins
These pins have a locking action independent of insertion/withdrawal forces, suitable for shear load applications and can withstand some tensile loads. They are divided into three groups:
- Single-acting pins
- Double-acting pins
- Heavy-duty cotter pins
