Hardware Requirements
- Available PCI-e 4.0 or 3.0 x16 slot on motherboard
- Motherboard must support PCIe x16 bifurcation (set as "PCI-e x8x4x4" in BIOS)
- M.2 PCI-e (M Key) NVMe SSDs only (does not support SATA-based B+M Key SSDs)
- CPU must have sufficient channels to support
Important Notes
1. RAID Support
Does not support hardware RAID - only supports software RAID in Windows 10 or via third-party software (both SSDs should be same model)
2. Bifurcation Requirements
Motherboard must support PCIe x8x4x4 bifurcation for all slots to work at full speed. If only x4x4x4x4 is supported, the expanded PCIe x16 will have x4 signal. Without bifurcation support, only the PCIe x16 slot will work.
3. Compatibility Check
Check your motherboard's user manual to confirm bifurcation support before purchase.
