Cosmetic grade HPMC is multi-functional rheology modifier specially designed for toothpaste formulas, serving as thickener, suspending agent and foam stabilizer all in one.
It builds stable three-dimensional colloid network to evenly suspend silica abrasives, fluoride and whitening actives, avoiding sedimentation, water separation and tube dry-out during long shelf storage.
With ideal shear-thinning thixotropy, the toothpaste extrudes smoothly from tube, stands in neat strip without sagging or dripping off toothbrush. It generates rich, creamy and long-lasting foam, bringing lubricious brushing feeling without gritty irritation, and does not mask toothpaste flavor and sweetener.
Our HPMC features wide compatibility with all anionic, amphoteric surfactants, resistant to acid, alkali and salt systems, suitable for transparent gel toothpaste, whitening, anti-sensitive, fluorinated and herbal oral care formulas. Instant cold water dissolution, no agglomeration, greatly simplifies batching process for automated mass production. Mild, non-toxic and low irritation, safe for long-term oral contact.

Self-Leveling Compounds (Grade: E5)
Low viscosity ensures superior flow and minimizes segregation.
Water-soluble support for extrusion; leaves no residue after sintering (decomposes to CO+HO), ideal for automotive exhaust purification carriers.
High-viscosity grade forms controlled-release barriers and modulates dissolution.
Ophthalmic Solution Thickener (Grade: E5)
