CMC‑NH₄(Ammonium Carboxymethyl Cellulose) is a professional forming binder for high‑end honeycomb ceramics. Free of alkali‑metal ions, it decomposes completely during calcination with ultra‑low ash, avoiding catalyst poisoning and pore blockage.
It provides excellent plasticizing, bonding, water‑retention and lubricating effects, optimizes mud rheology for smooth extrusion. It greatly improves green‑body strength, reduces cracking, chipping and deformation in drying and firing, and keeps honeycomb channels neat. Suitable for cordierite & SiC substrates: SCR denitrification catalyst carrier, auto exhaust DPF substrate, RTO regenerator and filter ceramics.
