The IC200ERM002 is a single-slot Expansion Receiver Module that extends VersaMax I/O racks up to 750 meters from the CPU. When paired with an IC200EBI001 or IC200CPU001 in the main rack, this module provides a high-speed parallel backplane link over low-cost CAT5e cable, supporting 64 I/O modules and 2,048 digital points per expansion node.

System Topology
[CPU rack] - (IC200EBI001) --CAT5e--> [Expansion rack 1] - (IC200ERM002) --CAT5e--> [Expansion rack 2] ... up to 7 nodes. Each node requires its own 24 VDC supply; earth reference must be bonded at one point only.
Installation & Wiring Guidelines
- Use shielded CAT5e cable - connect drain wire to earth at main rack only to avoid ground loops
- Maintain 25 mm clearance above module for hot-insertion capability
- Terminate ends - 120 Ω resistor across TX+/TX- at last node (resistor pack included)
- Verify power budget - each ERM adds 350 mA @ 5V to expansion rack
- Label cables correctly - port labelled "IN" faces main rack, "OUT" continues to next node
