ODM Wet Quartz Polishing Pads Diamond Buffing Pads For Marble Floor 4 Inch
4-inch diamond wet and dry polishing pad, engineered for compatibility with handheld polishing machines and optimized for polishing hard-to-reach corners and edges on stone worktops and flooring—areas where larger pads cannot operate effectively.
These polishing pads are designed to deliver a high-quality gloss finish on basalt, granite, limestone, marble, polished stone, stone tesserae mosaics, and travertine. Important Notes:
- Do not use on resin-rich surfaces (e.g., quartz), as the heat generated during polishing will burn the resin component in the material.
- Do not use on encaustic patterned tiles, as the polishing process will remove the decorative pattern.
Manufactured with high-density diamond particles, these pads enhance cutting sharpness and extend service life. They require only half the effort compared to the traditional 7-step polishing process.
- Preliminary Test
Always conduct a small test on the target surface to verify suitability and refine usage techniques before full-scale application.
- System Requirement
For optimal results, all 3 pads in the set must be used in sequence. This is a polishing system (not a standalone cleaning solution) and is primarily intended for restoring shine to highly polished stone surfaces that have lost their luster.
- Gradual Polishing
Adopt a gradient polishing process: start with a low-grit pad (50 or 100 grit) to remove deep scratches, then switch to a 3000-grit pad for the final polishing stage.
- Use a Backing Pad
First attach the polishing pad to a backing pad, then secure the assembled backing pad and polishing pad to the polishing machine.
- Proper Technique
Do not exceed the maximum speed range of 4,000–4,500 RPM. Use slow, overlapping movements during operation to prevent the pad from getting stuck.
- Clean the Surface
After changing polishing pads between grit stages, clean the work surface thoroughly to remove any leftover abrasive particles.
After the surface is clean and completely dry, apply a stone sealer. Recommendations:
- Colored stone: Use a color-enhancing sealer.
- Light-toned stone: Use a clear penetrating sealer.
- Black stone: Use an oil-based resin sealer.
- Sealing Tips: After applying the sealer, wait a few minutes, then polish off any excess with a cotton cloth. Conduct a preliminary test to assess sealer absorption and compatibility for optimal results.
