Concrete Floor Grinding & Polishing Overview

These high-efficiency tools are ideal for fast polishing of concrete or terrazzo floor surfaces after coarse grinding with metal pads. The complete polishing process consists of 7 steps using grits 50#, 100#, 200#, 400#, 800#, 1500# and 3000# sequentially.

Step 1: Coarse Metal Grinding
|
For coarse grinding of concrete floors, start with metal diamond pads of grits such as 6#/16# or 25#/30#.

Step 2: Resin Polishing Pads Polishing
|
This is the final step to achieve a glossy floor surface. Grits 50# or 100# can effectively remove scratches left by metal pads; polishing can be started with 200# to create a shiny finish, and the specific grit selection depends on the actual condition of the floor.

Steps
- Gradual Polishing Start with 50/100-grit pads to remove deep scratches, then use 3000-grit pads for final polishing.
- Backing Pad Usage Attach the polishing pad to a backing pad first, then mount the assembly to the polisher.
- Operation Technique Do not exceed 4,000–4,500 RPM. Use slow, overlapping motions to avoid pad jamming.
- Surface Cleaning Thoroughly clean the work surface after changing grit pads to remove residual abrasive particles.
