ASTM A790 UNS S32550 is a grade of duplex stainless steel. As the name suggests, duplex steels are a group of metals with two different microstructures: austenite and ferrite. Because of this unique combination, they have better mechanical properties, which makes them suitable for harsh environments, especially in offshore oil and gas, chemical processing, petrochemicals, and marine uses.
