Polyaluminum Chloride PAC 1327-41-9 for Drinking Water Treatment
Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is a water-soluble inorganic polymer between AlCl₃ and Al(OH)₃, with a chemical formula of [Al₂(OH)ₙCl₆₋ₙ]ₘ. This high-charge polymer features a Keggin structure with excellent electrical neutralization and bridging effects on water colloids and particles, effectively removing toxic substances and heavy metal ions.
As a stable water purification material and coagulant, PAC is widely used in drinking water treatment, industrial wastewater, and urban sewage purification. Available in liquid and solid forms with yellow, light yellow, dark brown, or dark gray appearance, it offers superior bridging adsorption performance through coagulation, adsorption, and precipitation processes.
