The calender roll body is constructed from alloy forged steel with a mirror coating applied through thermal spraying tungsten carbide process. After spraying, the roll achieves an exceptional surface finish of Ra0.01. This advanced coating technology enhances bonding strength with the roll body surface, significantly improving wear resistance while minimizing surface layer shedding. Additionally, it provides superior corrosion resistance.
Featuring high surface hardness, these hard rollers process paper through high temperature and pressure to achieve uniform thickness. The system maintains precise thickness control below 0.01mm per nip. This hard calendering process dramatically improves paper smoothness while simultaneously reducing coating weight.
