Carbon fiber manufacturing uses some carbon-containing organic fibers (nylon, acrylic, etc.) as raw materials, which are strongly carbonized together with plastics, resins, etc., and the final chemical composition contains 90% carbon. Carbon fiber has a very small fineness (i.e., the number of grams per 90KM length), generally 19 grams. It has high axial strength, high modulus, no degeneration, good fatigue resistance, and a small thermal expansion coefficient, but generally has poor impact resistance.
