Project Overview

This project involves the supply and integration of a complete 500 kg/h cold washing recycling line, specifically engineered for the recovery of post-consumer HDPE and PP plastics. The line is designed to transform dirty, mixed flake feedstock into clean, high-quality washed flakes, ready for pelletizing or direct manufacturing, using a highly efficient and cost-effective cold washing process without a hot washing stage.

Process Introduction

The cold washing process for HDPE/PP (500-1000kg/h capacity) begins with automated feeding of raw materials into the system. The plastics first undergo size reduction in a shredder to create uniform flakes. These flakes then enter a friction washer where mechanical action removes stubborn contaminants and adhesives. Next, the material passes through a floatation sink-float separation tank, where PP/HDPE flakes float and are separated from heavier impurities. The cleaned flakes are then dewatered in a high-speed centrifugal dryer to reduce moisture content. Finally, the processed material is automatically conveyed for weighing and bagging. This efficient cold wash process eliminates thermal energy requirements while delivering ready-to-use recycled flakes.
