Problem: The area experienced shallow landslides due to heavy rain, requiring an environmentally friendly stabilization solution that could blend with the landscape.
Solution: A gravity retaining wall using Gabions and mattresses was implemented. This economical solution used in situ filling materials and simple construction methods suitable for rainy seasons. The 20m high retaining wall used:
- PVC Coated Gabions (1x1x1m, 2x1x1m, 1.5x1x1m)
- PVC Coated Gabion Mattress (6x2x0.3m)
