Installation Guide (Step-by-Step)

 

1.Assembly & Unfolding:Step 1.

Flat-packed gabions are delivered to the site. Unfold each unit on a flat surface, straighten any bends, and ensure all diaphragms and panels are stood upright.

2.Lacing & Securing:Step 2.

Use the provided lacing wire (or pneumatic C-ring fasteners) to securely bind the corner edges and diaphragms together. Ensure all vertical edges are fully laced before placement.

3.Placement & Bracing:Step 3.

Align the empty gabion baskets on the prepared foundation. Connect adjacent baskets along their contact edges. For structures higher than 0.5m, install internal tiebacks/bracing wires at 1/3 and 2/3 heights during rock filling to prevent outward bulging.

4.Rock Filling:Step 4.

Fill the baskets with clean, hard, and durable stones (typically 100mm to 250mm in size). Stones should be hand-packed or carefully machine-placed to minimize voids. Fill slightly above the basket rim (2-5cm) to allow for natural settlement.

5.Lid Closing & Lacing:Step 5.

Pull the lid down tightly over the rock fill. Use heavy-duty tools to tension the lid flat. Securely lace the lid edges to the top perimeter of the basket and diaphragms.
