Advantages

- Clear display, good visibility - High contrast and clear characters under normal lighting. Visual comfort is better than LED digital tubes.
- Compact size, easy integration - Compact structure allows for very small modules, convenient for integration into small electronic devices.
- Long lifespan, high stability - Long lifespan of liquid crystal materials and driving circuits, better vibration and shock resistance than mechanical display components.
Disadvantages
- Display content is limited - Can only display 0-9 numbers and a few simple symbols. Cannot show letters, Chinese characters or complex graphics.
- Dependent on light source - Without backlight, visibility is poor in dark places. Even with backlight, brightness and color expression are inferior to OLED.
- Narrow viewing angle - Display blurring or contrast reduction may occur when viewed from side angles. Viewing angle range is usually less than 120°.
- Performance declines in low temperatures - Response speed slows down below -10°C, display function may be lost in extreme low temperatures.
- No dynamic effects - Only static numbers can be displayed. Cannot achieve animations, gradients or other dynamic effects.
