This industrial gate valve features a flanged connection design and comes with an 18-month warranty, providing reliable performance in demanding applications.
Gate Valve Operation & Design
The gate valve operates with a linear-moving gate mechanism that travels up and down along the valve stem axis. Available in 304, 316, and 321 stainless steel materials (designated as Z41H-16P), this valve features a gate that moves perpendicular to fluid flow for optimal sealing performance.
Gate valves are specifically designed for full opening or complete closing operations and are not intended for flow adjustment or throttling applications. The gate features two sealing surfaces typically forming a wedge shape, with angles varying by valve specifications (usually around 5°, or 2°52' for lower temperature applications).
Available in either rigid (solid piece) or elastic (slightly flexible) designs, the elastic gate configuration provides manufacturing flexibility and compensates for minor sealing surface angle variations.
