This safety barrier repeats the current in another floating circuit to drive a safe-area load, ensuring reliable signal transmission while maintaining safety standards.

HART Communication
For HART 2-wire transmitters, the MTL5541 enables bi-directional communication signals superimposed on the 4/20mA loop current, providing enhanced functionality for modern industrial communication protocols.
Alternative Configuration
The MTLx541S can be configured as a current sink for safe-area connections rather than driving current into the load. While separately powered current sources such as 4-wire transmitters can be connected, please note that this configuration does not support HART communication.
