Functional Description
This isolated barrier is engineered for intrinsic safety applications, transferring digital signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts located in hazardous areas to safe area equipment. Each sensor or switch controls two form A normally open relay contacts for safe area load operation.
The device offers flexible configuration with switches S1 and S2 for reversing the normal output state, and switch S3 for enabling or disabling line fault detection of the field circuit. During error conditions, relays revert to their de-energized state with LED fault indication according to NAMUR NE44 standards.
When used with the Power Rail system, the amplifier provides unique collective error messaging capabilities for enhanced system monitoring and diagnostics.
