Function & Applications
This isolated barrier is designed for intrinsic safety applications in industrial environments. The device transfers digital signals from NAMUR sensors or dry contacts from hazardous areas to non-hazardous areas. The proximity sensor or mechanical contact controls the control side load for a relay contact output, with the device output changing state when the input signal changes state.
Operation mode can be reversed via switches, and line fault detection can be switched off as needed. During fault conditions, the relay reverts to its de-energized state with LEDs indicating faults according to NAMUR NE 44 standards. When operated via Power Rail, an additional collective error message is available.
The compact housing design and low heat dissipation make this device ideal for detecting positions, end stops, and switching states in space-critical applications.
