Covered Wagon Overview

This wagon is suitable for operation on a 1000mm gauge railway in Tanzania, and is mainly used for transporting goods avoiding sun, rain and snow, such as grain, food and daily industrial products.

Key Characteristics

• The wagon is mainly composed of car body, bogie, air brake device, coupler buffer device, and so on.
• The car body is mainly composed of under frame, side wall, end wall, roof, side door, etc.
• The wagon is equipped with steel floor.
• Adopt MCA-DA coupler buffer device. The “B" end of the wagon is the yoke, and the “A" end of the car is the hook.
• The air braking system adopts UIC braking,which conforms to UIC 540 standard.

The bogie adopts three-piece casting steel bogie.
