Characteristics
 

1.Twisted-pair cable: It is the most common type of network cable, composed of multiple pairs of copper wires twisted together and wrapped in an insulating sheath. Such as the common Category 5e and Category 6 cables, they usually have four pairs of wires, with each pair consisting of two wires wound around each other, which can reduce noise interference and signal attenuation. Among them, the Category 6 cable also adds an insulated cross skeleton, with the four pairs of wires respectively placed in the four grooves of the cross skeleton.

2.It is composed of an inner conductor, an insulating layer, an outer conductor and an outer sheath, and can transmit high-frequency signals. However, it is currently less used in local area networks.
