Submersible jet mixers (also known as low-speed jet mixers) are specifically designed for biological treatment tanks, oxidation ditches, and anaerobic/anoxic tanks in wastewater treatment plants. They generate low-speed, large-volume axial water flow to achieve water circulation within the tank, preventing activated sludge sedimentation and promoting full contact between microorganisms and wastewater. The equipment utilizes a high-efficiency hydraulic impeller (fiberglass or stainless steel), a heavy-duty submersible motor, and a simple installation system, offering advantages such as low energy consumption, high thrust, long service life, and maintenance-free operation. It is widely used in municipal wastewater treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment, oxidation ditches, equalization tanks, and denitrification tanks.

Working principle

The motor drives the impeller to rotate at a low speed. The curved blades of the impeller push the water backward, forming a continuous, wide axial water flow. This water flow propels the media further away in the pool forward, achieving overall water circulation. The impeller generates low-frequency eddies, rather than high shear forces, thus avoiding the breakup of activated sludge flocs and keeping the sludge suspended to prevent sludge accumulation.
