The process flow is as follows:


Steel coil saddle → loading trolley → uncoiler → feeder → double-roller pinch feeding → 11-roller leveling machine (φ280) → length measuring device → tail plate pinching → shearing machine → palletizer → discharging roller table .

 

 

Unit configuration and function


Steel coil saddle

 

Overview: The steel coil saddle consists of two symmetrical V-shaped structures installed on both sides of the trench above the loading trolley. It is designed for the non-powered storage of steel coils awaiting processing. The loading trolley is capable of directly lifting the steel coils from the saddle for loading operations.

2. Loading trolley

 

a. Overview: Operated through electric travel and hydraulic lifting systems, the loading trolley has a maximum load capacity of 35 tons. It is designed to load coils onto the decoiler, with the dual rollers positioned on top of the trolley forming a “V”-shaped configuration. The unit is primarily composed of a base frame, hydraulic cylinder, support structure, and two wheel axles. During operation, the motor-reducer drive mechanism moves the trolley along the rail track, after which the hydraulic cylinder elevates the coil to the required height aligned with the center position of the uncoiler mandrel. Once the coil is securely clamped, the hydraulic cylinder retracts and the trolley returns to its initial position. The trolley is equipped with a 4KW drive motor, while the cables and hydraulic pipelines are safeguarded by protective drag chains.

3. Uncoiler

 

a. Overview: The uncoiler is designed for supporting and unwinding steel coils during processing operations. It features a left-right symmetrical configuration consisting of two sets of hydraulic expanding and contracting drums, two hydraulic traversing systems, two machine bases, and two transmission assemblies. The drum structure is composed of a support spindle, wedge-shaped sliding seat, four arc-shaped segments mounted within the wedge slide, and a rotary hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic cylinder is fixed at the rear section of the support shaft and rotates synchronously with it, while its pull rod passes through the support shaft and connects to the wedge-shaped sliding seat. Through the pushing and pulling action of the rod, the wedge slide moves accordingly, enabling the arc segments to expand and contract the drum through the inclined wedge mechanism.

The expansion and contraction system is equipped with a hydraulically controlled one-way pressure-holding function to prevent internal valve leakage and effectively maintain stable mandrel clamping force. The spindle is driven by a motor through a reducer system and is capable of both forward and reverse rotation.

The uncoiler supplies the primary driving force for feeding the leading end of the steel coil and generates back tension during automatic operation, ensuring stable, smooth, and reliable performance of the entire production line.
