CNC Aluminum UAV Payload Release Cam for Aerial Delivery Systems

This custom CNC machined UAV payload release cam is designed for drone mechanisms that release small delivery packages, field sampling containers or detachable inspection payloads at a designated location. As the cam rotates around its pivot bore, its eccentric profile moves against a mating latch surface to control the release mechanism.
The 7075 T6 aluminum alloy offers a high strength to weight ratio for compact moving components. The final design must still account for the payload mass, vibration during flight, contact stress, pivot wear and the possibility of unintended latch movement.
Before production, confirm the cam profile, pivot diameter, latch travel, required actuation angle, mounting clearance and intended payload load. Functional testing should verify that the assembled mechanism moves freely and remains securely latched under the specified operating conditions.
