Five Axis CNC Aluminum Robot Force Torque Sensor Flexure for Robotic Process Control
This custom CNC machined sensor flexure is designed for robot wrist force torque sensors installed between an industrial robot flange and an end effector used for sanding, deburring or precision assembly. Its thin machined webs provide controlled elastic deformation, allowing the sensor system to measure forces and moments applied during tool contact.
7075 T6 aluminum offers a high strength to weight ratio, but the flexure geometry must be engineered around the required stiffness, measurement range and fatigue life. Material choice alone does not determine sensor performance.
Before production, confirm the sensor design, web thickness, mounting bolt pattern, central interface, required stiffness and surface treatment restrictions. Web symmetry and critical dimensions should be inspected carefully because small geometric variations can influence the flexure response.
