Hot Rolled SS300 series SS400 series Stainless Steel Coils with No.1 surface finish, available in thickness range of 3mm to 20mm.
While the surface of "Hot-Rolled No.1" steel is not aesthetically pleasing, its low cost, wide thickness range, and good mechanical properties make it an ideal intermediate billet or structural component material for many industrial fields.
Primary Applications
- As a billet for subsequent processing: Steel mills produce Hot-Rolled No.1 coils for downstream factories to process into various cold-rolled products (2B, BA, No.4) or for industrial pickling to create HRAP surfaces.
- Direct use in structural components: Used in applications where appearance is secondary to strength, heat resistance, or cost considerations, including high-temperature environments, load-bearing structures, and wear-resistant parts.
