Corrosion Resistant Food Grade ETP Tinplate Coil with 0.18–0.30 mm Thickness for Mushroom Cans
High-quality ETP tinplate for mushroom cans. Designed for mildly acidic food with excellent corrosion resistance, coating adhesion, and long shelf life performance.
Mushroom canning requires packaging materials that can resist moisture, mild acidity, and long-term storage conditions. ETP Tinplate (Electrolytic Tinplate) is widely used for canned vegetables due to its reliable barrier performance, structural strength, and compatibility with food-grade coatings.
We supply premium tinplate sheet and coil for mushroom cans, engineered to ensure corrosion resistance, stable forming, and safe food contact.
Typical specifications for mushroom cans:
Thickness: 0.18–0.30 mm
Tin coating: 2.8/2.8 – 5.6/5.6 g/m²
These parameters are optimized for vegetable canning, balancing cost efficiency and protection performance.

Engineering Note:
For mushroom cans, T3 temper with 2.8/2.8 coating is commonly used for standard applications, while higher coating is recommended for extended shelf life.
Mushrooms and similar vegetables contain moisture and mild organic acids. Tinplate, combined with internal lacquer, provides effective protection against corrosion and discoloration.
ETP tinplate supports strong adhesion with food-grade coatings such as:
- Epoxy lacquer
- BPA-NI coatings
This ensures a stable barrier between the food and the metal surface.
- Suitable for can body forming and deep drawing
- Reliable double seaming for leak prevention
- Consistent performance in mass production
- Maintains internal product quality
- Prevents contamination
- Ensures safe storage and transportation

- Mushroom cans
- Sweet corn and beans
- Mixed vegetables
- Ready-to-eat meals
- Processed vegetable products
- Can bodies
- Ends and lids
- Easy-open lids
