Product Overview
HXW Mold designs and builds transparent plastic dessert box molds for clamshell cake boxes, mousse containers, pastry lids and takeaway dessert packaging. The tooling is engineered to keep clear PET surfaces glossy and distortion-free, with optional anti-fog coating compatibility so condensation from refrigerated desserts stays invisible to the customer.
Each mold is developed around the box geometry, hinge design, sealing rim and the customer's thermoforming machine, and can be supplied as a complete forming-plus-cutting set so lids and bases pair perfectly for both bakery display and home serving.
Engineering Focus
Clear dessert packaging is judged by what the customer can see through it. Scratches, cloudiness, uneven cooling and hinge marks all show up directly on the shelf, so every cavity is polished and cooled with optical clarity in mind.
Cavity surfaces are mirror-polished and vacuum paths are placed away from visible panels to eliminate draw lines, flow marks and orange-peel texture on clear PET boxes.
Cooling uniformity and sheet release are tuned around anti-fog coated PET, so the coating layer is not damaged during forming and the box stays clear in the refrigerator display case.
Living hinges and snap-fit rims are formed with controlled wall thinning so the box clicks shut firmly and opens repeatedly without cracking — easy for bakery staff and end users.
Lid and base cavities are machined as a matched set on the same machine datum so dimensions stay within tolerance, preventing loose lids or jammed closing after long production runs.
