1. Main Functions
- Viscosity and gel strength enhancement: Significantly increases drilling fluid viscosity and gel strength, improves cuttings carrying capacity, and prevents cuttings deposition.
- Wellbore stabilization: Adsorbs onto the rock surface of the wellbore, forming a protective film, inhibiting shale hydration and expansion, and reducing the risk of well collapse.
- Filtration control: Optimizes the quality of the drilling fluid filter cake, reduces filtration loss, and protects oil and gas reservoirs.
- Contamination resistance: Possesses certain tolerance to salt, calcium, and magnesium ions, adapting to the needs of drilling in complex formations.
2. Recommended Dosage
Recommended dosage: Add at 0.1%-0.5% of the total drilling fluid volume. First dilute with clean water 100-200 times (stirring speed 50-100 r/min) to prepare a stock solution, then slowly add it into the drilling fluid.
