Centrifugal Separation Technology
The disc stack separator uses extremely high centrifugal forces to separate solids and one or two liquid phases in a single continuous process. Denser solids are forced outward against the rotating bowl wall while less dense liquid phases form concentric inner layers. The interface position between phases can be adjusted for maximum efficiency. Special plates (the "disc stack") provide additional surface settling area, dramatically speeding up separation. This configuration enables continuous separation of various solids from one or two liquids, with solids removal occurring continuously, intermittently, or manually depending on application requirements.

Separation occurs inside a rotating bowl where feed is introduced via a stationary inlet pipe and accelerated in the distributor before entering the disc stack. Liquid-solids separation takes place between discs, with liquid moving through the disc stack to the center and pumped out via a built-in paring disc. Solids collect in the periphery and discharge intermittently through a hydraulic system that opens solids ports at preset intervals.
