Vehicle-Mounted G20 TDLAS Natural Gas Methane and Ethane Leak Detector
Product Description
G20 TDLAS Methane and Ethane Laser Gas Detector
The G20 is a high-sensitivity laser gas detector designed for natural gas leak detection. Powered by Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS), it measures methane and ethane simultaneously, providing fast, accurate gas concentration readings for field inspections. With ethane detection capability down to 0.5 ppb, the G20 helps identify trace gas leaks and supports more reliable natural gas source identification.
Simultaneous Methane and Ethane Detection
Natural gas primarily consists of methane and commonly contains ethane, while biogas is typically methane-dominant and contains little or no ethane. By measuring both gases and analyzing their concentration profiles, the G20 helps distinguish potential natural gas leaks from methane sources that may otherwise cause false alarms. This dual-gas detection approach improves leak identification and supports more targeted field investigations.
High Sensitivity and Fast Response
The G20 delivers ppb-level detection sensitivity, enabling the identification of low-concentration gas leaks that may be difficult to detect using conventional methods. Its rapid measurement capability provides timely methane and ethane concentration readings, helping inspection teams investigate suspected leaks more efficiently.
Intelligent False-Alarm Filtering
An AI-based spatiotemporal model helps filter potential false alarms by analyzing detection patterns and spatial information. This supports better correlation between alarm events and potential leak locations, improving the efficiency of natural gas pipeline inspection and leak investigation.
Flexible Vehicle-Mounted and Portable Operation
Designed for both vehicle-mounted inspections and portable detection, the G20 features a main unit and docking station connected by snap-fasteners. This quick-assembly design allows convenient installation, separation, and transportation, adapting the system to different field inspection requirements.
Wide Range of Leak Detection Applications
The G20 is suitable for natural gas leak detection across urban gas distribution networks, pipelines, storage facilities, and industrial sites. It can also support gas source identification and methane and ethane monitoring in relevant environmental and industrial applications, including refineries, chemical plants, and other facilities where gas leakage needs to be investigated.
By combining high-sensitivity dual-gas measurement, intelligent false-alarm filtering, and flexible deployment, the G20 provides an effective solution for more accurate and efficient natural gas leak detection.
