Broadcom's HFBR-R/EXXYYYZ series of plastic optical fiber (POF) cables are designed for robust data transmission in industrial and telecommunications environments. These cables are compatible with Broadcom Versatile Link connectors and fiber optic components, offering a reliable solution for intra-system links, industrial data links, and computer-to-peripheral connections. Available in standard and extra low loss grades, they feature a 1 mm diameter POF core and are constructed with a black polyethylene jacket. Duplex versions consist of two simplex fibers joined by a zipcord web. Both standard and extra low loss cables comply with UL VW-1 flame retardant specifications. The series also includes a range of compatible connectors (simplex, simplex latching, duplex, duplex latching) and bulkhead adapters for versatile application integration.
