They are backward compatible with existing Ethernet networks and are ideal for LED lighting applications on both the switch and ballast sides. The product family can transmit or receive 0 to 100W of power per port over all 4 pairs, preserving Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth. These ICMs function as either Power Source Equipment (PSE) or Powered Devices (PD) and are compatible with all major 1GBase-T PHYs, including current-mode and voltage-mode variants. They utilize industry-standard footprints and pin-outs and comply with IEEE 802.3bz requirements.
