Product Overview
The Kona KA1 Series is an 8.5mm pitch, single-row connector system designed for high-reliability, high-power applications requiring durability. Featuring individually shrouded and recessed contacts, polarization, and contact identification marks, these connectors ensure positive engagement through a male contact providing spring force within the female contact. Both contacts are plated with hard acid gold for enhanced performance and longevity. Cable contacts are solder style, compatible with 8AWG cable, and are removable/replaceable. Connector housings are equipped with stainless steel screw-lock fixings for mate-before-lock functionality, enabling easy and fast connection. Options include thumbscrews, board/panel mount studs, and reverse fix styles. Metal backshells are available for mechanical, RF, and EMC protection.
