This system utilizes stackthrough connectors to interconnect PC boards within a stack, offering a space-saving and cost-effective solution compared to traditional backplane systems. The standard height between module boards is 0.6 (15.24mm). PC/104 connectors feature a 2.54mm pitch with 32+32 or 20+20 ways, while PC/104 Plus connectors offer a 2.00mm pitch with 4 x 30 (120) ways. Both series are available with solder or press-fit tail options and feature tuning-fork style contacts.
