High Underflow Density Thickener Equipment 3000TPD Tailings Thickener
High underflow density High Efficiency Thickener for tailings dry stacking
1.Product Introduction High Efficiency Thickener
The High Underflow Density High Efficiency Thickener is a core pretreatment system specifically engineered for tailings dry stacking processes. By leveraging the synergy of gravity sedimentation and advanced flocculation technology, it concentrates mineral tailings slurry (10%–30% solids) into an underflow concentration of 40%–75%. This significantly alleviates the load on downstream dewatering equipment and provides the high-concentration material foundation required for dry stacking or underground backfilling. Integrating inclined settling plates, central/peripheral rake assemblies, and intelligent dosing systems, it is a key piece of equipment for "green mine" construction.
2.Application High Efficiency Thickener
This equipment is widely utilized across the following sectors:
-
Mining: High-efficiency thickening and dewatering pretreatment for iron, gold, copper, and molybdenum tailings.
-
Metallurgy & Chemicals: Clarification of hydrometallurgical leachates and thickening of chemical waste residues.
-
Environmental Engineering: Solid-liquid separation for industrial wastewater, coal slime water treatment, and municipal sludge pre-thickening.
-
Resource Recovery: Achieves water recycling rates of over 90%, supporting closed-loop circulation systems.
3.Working Principle High Efficiency Thickener
The system operates through a three-stage mechanism: Flocculated Sedimentation + Thick-Phase Filtration + Mechanical Scraping.
-
Accelerated Flocculation: Polymer flocculants (such as PAM) are added to aggregate fine particles into large flocs, increasing the settling velocity by 3–5 times.
-
High-Efficiency Sedimentation: The inclined plate structure shortens the settling path and increases the effective sedimentation area. The forming thick-phase layer acts as a self-filtering membrane to further capture fine particles.
-
Underflow Discharge: A rotating rake assembly operates at a low speed (0.5–1.5 r/min) to push the high-density underflow (>60%) toward the central discharge outlet. The overflow consists of clarified water (turbidity <30 NTU) recycled back into the processing circuit.
4.Advantages High Efficiency Thickener
-
Superior Underflow Density: Underflow solid content can reach 65%–75%, far exceeding the 30%–50% of traditional thickeners, which drastically reduces the workload for filter presses.
-
Energy Saving & Efficiency: Reduces energy consumption per unit by over 30% and maintains a water recycling rate above 90%, complying with green mining standards like GB 39496-2020.
-
Compact Footprint: The optimized deep-cone or high-aspect-ratio design provides a processing efficiency per unit area 3–8 times higher than traditional equipment.
-
Intelligent Control: Features integrated concentration sensors, automated dosing systems, and remote monitoring for unmanned operation.
-
Operational Stability: Anti-clogging discharge designs (such as high-pressure bottom flushing) ensure continuous operation for over 3 months without failure.
