- Toothed Roll Crusher
The roller surfaces are equipped with saw-toothed teeth. Material is crushed through the shearing and tearing actions between the teeth. This design is specifically suited for processing materials with high moisture content or high viscosity, such as coal gangue and shale. It offers high crushing efficiency and effectively prevents clogging.
- Smooth Roll Crusher
The roller surfaces are smooth, and crushing is achieved primarily through compression (squeezing). This type is suitable for materials with lower hardness and higher brittleness, such as limestone and dolomite. It produces a more uniform particle size in the final output and generates relatively less dust.
3.Working Principle
The double-roll crusher primarily consists of rollers, support bearings, a compression adjustment mechanism, and a drive unit. Its core operating principle involves two cylindrical rollers rotating in opposite directions. Material is drawn into the crushing chamber formed between the rollers through friction, where it is crushed by compression and shearing forces. The discharge particle size is controlled by adjusting the gap between the two rollers: the wedge device alters the gap size by raising or lowering the wedge block via an adjustment bolt, while the shim device achieves adjustment by adding or removing shims or varying their thickness. When encountering excessively hard or non-crushable objects, the movable roller automatically retreats under spring or hydraulic force, increasing the gap to expel the foreign object and providing overload protection.
