Application fields

Sodium sulfate is mainly used as a filler in synthetic detergents. A cooking agent used in the paper industry for manufacturing sulfate pulp. It is used in the glass industry as a substitute for soda ash. The chemical industry uses it as a raw material for manufacturing sodium sulfide, sodium silicate and other chemical products. It is used in the textile industry to prepare the coagulation bath for vinylon spinning. It is used as a laxative in the pharmaceutical industry. It is also used in non-ferrous metallurgy, leather and other fields

It enables the hydration product calcium sulfoaluminate to form more rapidly, thereby accelerating the hydration and hardening speed of cement. The dosage of sodium sulfate is generally 0.5% to 2% of the cement mass. It can increase the early strength of concrete by 50% to 100%. The 28-day strength sometimes increases and sometimes decreases, with an increase of about 10%, which varies with the type of cement, curing conditions and dosage. It is also used as a filler in synthetic detergents and in the paper industry, glass industry, chemical industry, textile industry and pharmaceutical industry, etc

Pharmacological action: When taken orally in small amounts, its ionic and osmotic pressure effects can slightly stimulate the mucous membrane of the digestive tract, slightly increasing the secretion and movement of the gastrointestinal tract, thus having a stomach-strengthening effect. Oral administration in large quantities, that is, dissolving a large amount of sodium sulfate in a large amount of water and taking it internally, because its ions are not easily absorbed, it can keep a large amount of water in the intestine, mechanically stimulate the intestinal mucosa, soften fecal lumps, and facilitate accelerated defecation. Clinically, it is mainly used for constipation of the large intestine, elimination of intestinal toxins, and expulsion of parasites, etc
